Dining on campus isn’t one size fits all. Our meal plans were designed with you in mind. If you are looking to enjoy a meal with friends or just a snack on the go – we’ve got a plan to fit every appetite.

We’ve kept what’s most important to you in mind, building in the convenience, flexibility, quality, value and healthy options you deserve. Explore our meal plan options to learn more about what would be the best fit for you.

  • Do I need to buy a meal plan?
    All students living on-campus are auto-enrolled in the Blazer All Access plan if a meal plan is not selected during registration. Access your student account in Banner at any time before the posted meal plan change deadline to select a different plan (based on your eligibility). The meal plan change deadline is always the first Thursday of the first official week of classes at noon (12 pm).  The deadline is posted in the meal plan selection screen in Banner and on the 1Card website.

    ·        Students with 0-23 credit hours are considered freshmen students living on campus and are eligible to change their meal plan to Blazer Platinum or Gold.

    ·        Students with more than 24 credit hours are considered Upperclassmen. Upperclassmen living on campus in traditional style dorms are eligible for the Blazer All Access, Platinum, Gold, or Silver meal plans. Upperclassmen living in Centennial are eligible for Blazer All Access, Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze meal plans.

    ·        Commuter Students are eligible to sign up for any meal plan.

  • Will my meal plan auto renew for next semester? 
    No, you will need to access your student account in Banner before the posted meal plan change deadline to select your meal plan. All students living on-campus are auto-enrolled in the Blazer All Access plan each semester.

  • Will unused meals or Dining Dollars roll over? 
    Dining Dollars will rollover from Fall-to-Spring semester, but will not rollover from Spring-to-Summer semester or Summer-to-Fall semester.

  • Do meal swipes roll over from one semester to the next?
    No, meal swipes are forfeited at the end of each semester.

  • If I have already purchased a meal plan, can I change it?
    You may purchase a meal plan or Dining Dollars in your student account in Banner until the posted meal plan change deadline. After the deadline you may not change your meal plan. However, you may add additional Dining Dollars by going into Marketplace.
Don’t worry - simplicity and convenience are all within reach. Once you have a meal plan, your student ID works like a debit card. Just swipe your card and the meals and points are deducted from your meal plan account.

Students Not Required to Buy
Valdosta State University students who live off campus are not required to have a meal plan, but they may purchase any Blazer Dining meal plan available.

Students Required to Buy
Valdosta State University students who live on campus are required to have a meal plan.  Freshmen living on campus may choose from the Blazer All Access, Blazer Platinum, or Blazer Gold meal plan.  Upperclassmen are required to have the Blazer Silver meal plan, but my upgrade to the All Access, Platinum, or Gold.  Upper classmen living at Centennial or Converse Hall must have the Blazer Bronze meal plan, but may upgrade to the Blazer Silver, Gold, Platinum, or All Access meal plan.
Dining Dollars
Dining Dollars are like a gift card for food on campus!  
Dining Dollar Add On
Add Dining Dollars in increments of $100, $200 or $300. Dining Dollars can be used at any of our locations and you can add them on at any time. 
Employee Meal Plans
VSU employees are welcome to purchase any available meal plan.  Please click on the payroll deduction form link below.  You will be notified when your meal plan has been activated and is available for use via your 1Card. *Excludes student employees.

Questions about meal plans? Please contact the VSU 1Card Services office at mealplans@valdosta.edu if you have questions/concerns about the meal plan assigned to your account and associated charges; issues relating to the adding/deleting/changing your meal plan; or if you experience problems when trying to access your meal plan via your 1Card.  Email correspondence should be sent from your valdosta.edu email account and should include your VSU student I.D. number (870# on your 1Card) and as much detailed information as possible.  All other dining questions/concerns should be directed to Blazer Dining (see Contact Us).
