We work together to continually develop and implement sustainable solutions. Through Green Thread, our environmental sustainability platform, we bring innovative and efficient solutions to life. We are passionately focused on reducing the environmental impact within our operations. Here are just a few ways we work to make our campus more environmentally conscious:

Check Local Purchasing: Did you know that Blazer Dining sources food from many local farmers,, growers and distributors? The list changes through the year depending on seasonality and availability. However, here is a sampling of a few of our partners:

    Local Foods

Check Reusable To-Go Containers: Getting your meal to go from the Palms Dining Hall, or Blazer Sports Grille? Take part in our Reusable To-Go Program.
Here is how it works:
1.  Visit the Palms Dining Hall, or Blazer Sports Grille and ask for a reusable to-go containers.
2.  Container can be purchased for $5.00 with cash, credit card, debit card, Dining Dollars, or Flex.
3.  Fill Container up with any of your favorite menu items.
4.  Return dirty container for a clean one or request a poker chip.

Containers are yours to keep, or return it so it can be used again in the future! 

Check Food Donation:  Blazer Dining donates excess, unserved food from Palms Dining Hall, and Blazer Sports Grille to various non-profit organizations through our Food Donation Program.

Check Energy and Water Conservation: We train our employees on everyday energy and water conservation practices in order to conserve earth’s resources.

Check Fryer Oil Recycling:  Fryer Oil Recycling: 100% of Blazer Dining’s used fryer oil is recycled into biodiesel.

Check Trayless Dining:  By dining trayless, you have helped positively impacted the environment by minimizing food waste, conserving energy and water as well as reducing the amount of cleaning chemicals entering the waste stream.

Check Green Cleaning:  All dining locations are committed to using green cleaning products in our operations to reduce the need for chemical based cleaning products and provide a healthy and safe learning environment.
